The existing roof tiles can be removed and "re-laid", if your tile is in good condition. The process of re-laying a tile roof includes removing the existing tiles, replacing the asphalt paper underlayment, and re-laying the same tile. Any metal flashings or rotted wood should be replaced.

Each has its advantages.Today shingles are manufactured to stand 30 years minimum. We install Atlas Pinnacle with a minimum guaratee of 35 years. Our work carrys a guarantee, roof leak repairs are guaranteed unless the overall reliability of the roof is defisient.
I recomend Atlas, they are standard 35 year guarantee and they do not have water lines to make them fall apart. We install Atlas Pinnacle. All our new roofs are estimated to include this designer shingle.
This is an architechtural roof shingle these come in a viriety of colors.
Starting shingle life of archetechtural shingles is 30 years. These shingle cover better because there is no water lines and it ends up a solid sealing surface the shingle bond together better.

Award Roofing uses only top of the line material, Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed and Elk products, just to name a few. Most jobs are quoted with a 35 year self sealing dimensional shingle. But if you care to get a little fancy, 40 year, 50 year and even lifetime shingles are available. We can calculate the additional cost for these shingles with the information we have now.
